A Dickens of a Story Teller

This February was the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens.
Dickens was a superb writer in my opinion. I adore a good story and he was a great storyteller. Dickens’ body of work satisfies my appetite for all things Victorian in creative and socially pointed tales sending my imagination on adventurous treks through the dark damp alleys of London or up the sunny hills of the English countrysides. I read the classics because I thoroughly enjoy revisiting them. I guess that’s the earmark of great art of any kind.; being a timeless creation that unfailingly delivers a delightful and engaging experience. Charles Dickens was a master at vividly painting his world and its fictitious inhabitants with a literary canvas.
