Strait and Narrow

Strait Gate Narrow Way Global Outreach
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7: 13-14, KJV

Keeping on the Strait and Narrow
The term, “straight and narrow” is a familiar idiom not used so much today as it was in years past but still recognizable and understood. The world coined this phrase but its origin is straight from the Holy Scriptures. When used secularly it refers to being legal, keeping on a right path in life or with any given situation. The straight and narrow is synonamous with being above board and without mal-intent. That meaning loosely coincides with the Bible’s definition only a lot less profoundly. The Bible takes it to another level in Matthew 7: 13-14 as you read above. The biblical inference is so deep it declares most people are on the wrong track…the gate leading to the road to hell and eternal damnation. Now I know it’s not popular to talk about these things but this is exactly what the world needs to hear…and hear and hear some more because it’s horribly true.
Not a whole lot of us are going to make the cut, my friends. That is quite sobering to realize not many of us will even get to the right place. I don’t know about you but I find it scary and motivating. I have a more urgent need to make sure I am where I’m supposed to be, doing what I’m suppose to be doing in God’s timing. Knowing there is only one narrow way to God makes me thankful that it is only through Jesus The Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach that I can get there. The intellectuals can reason it away, the atheists can poo poo it’s validity and the devils can rail against it but I BELIEVE what the Word of God says. Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus The Christ is the ONLY way to the True Living God and everlasting life. Knowing that keeps me on the spiritual strait and narrow.
